Mr. Douglas, hello. I am glad to see someone interested in helping others. I am a fulltime caregiver to my mom and we are really having a hard time with fuel costs. As the prices rise it's getting hard to make one monthly check cover everything. We are low on food as well. I take good care of my mom, better than any facility that I could put her in and yet it's hard to take comfort in that as we fall behind. I thank you for any help.
Hi, I hope by now you have received much needed assistance. Please help me out with some advice. I take care of my mother full time and was wondering how is it that you are paid to take care of your daughter? It may be a state thing as I live in NC and have gotten nowhere with help from DSS or any group. Your help would be appriciated..
Thank you for helping out with the gas to get mom back and forth to dialysis. She goes three times a week and its 30 miles round trip. I am her caregiver full time so I don't have an outside job or income. Her monthly check isn't stretching as far as it used to and I am at my wits end.
